Desali features three works at the exhibition “Coleção MAR + Enciclopédia Negra” that takes place at the Museu de Arte do Rio. The exhibition is an offshoot of the publication launched by the publishing company Companhia das Letras, which gathers biographies of more than 550 black personalities, including revolutionaries, intellectuals, artists, athletes, religious leaders and other black personalities who have had their history erased.
Among the names that make up the catalog is Pretextato de Passos e Silva, professor and one of the pioneers in black literacy in the country, portrayed by Desali.
