ArtRio: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

10 - 14 September 2025
Overview
Booth A9

In this edition of ArtRio, Athena proposes a project that draws on architectural research to investigate the landscape and its boundaries, seeking new ways of occupying, thinking about, and experiencing space. It brings together a recent collection of works by the artists represented by the gallery, exploring the relationships between the body and the territory, the contours that connect or separate them. In addition, important names in Brazilian and international art will be presented, drawing on nearly three decades of experience in the secondary market. A large gate crosses the stand, highlighting its nooks and crannies. The interior and exterior spaces intertwine. Viewers are invited to cross it and inhabit this threshold zone—a symbolic, sensorial, and political territory.

Among some of the artists presented at the stand are Antonio Dias, Ayla Tavares, Edu de Barros, Rafael Alonso, Renata Leoa, Ione Saldanha, Tunga, Vanderlei Lopes, Gustavo Prado, and others.
